DID YOU KNOW: There are many geocaches hidden in the Hanover & Madison area. When's the last time you went on a treasure hunt?

WHAT IS IT Geocaching is an outdoor recreational activity, in which participants use a Global Positioning System receiver or mobile device and other navigational techniques to hide and seek containers, called "geocaches" or "caches", at specific locations marked by coordinates all over the world. FUN FACTS There are more than 3 million active geocaches worldwide. Geocaches are hidden in 191 different countries on all seven continents (even Antarctica)! An application is available for download at geocaching.com HOW TO PARTICIPATE One can simply try to locate Geocache containers via hints & GPS locations provided on maps at geocaching.com OR become an owner of a geocache location by providing & maintaining a container. Each geocache should contain a log book for people to log their find. See the attached pictures showing example geocache containers & a map of the geocaches in the Hanover-Madison area.
